ECR, East Coast Road have lots of places all along right from Thiruvanmiyur upto Mahabalipuram. But it is not easy for every one to go to all the places on one single stretch. Tamilnadu Tourism Department have introduced a new tour. Hop in Hop Out Bus Service. This is introduced to imporve the Chennai toursim.
Started on Feb 20th, this service have been started. There are four services on any day. All the buses are air conditioned. These buses run between Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai to Mahabalipuram. This stops at all the places in between. One is charged Rs. 250.00 to travel in this bus. The first service from Chennai starts at 9.00am and the last bus starts at 4.00pm. From Mahabalipuram the first service starts at 10.40am and the last service starts at 5.40pm.
The travellers can get in at any of the following places and get down at any of the following places. The theme parks enroute gives discounts for those travelling in this bus. The tickets for this tourist bus can be obtained from the TTDC office and from all leading hotels.
