Varahi is regarded as the Goddess of Victory. Praying to her on Panchami thithi day gives us immense benefits. She is the victory god for king Raja Raja Chola and there is a separate Sannidhi for Varahi Amman in Tanjai Periya kovil. Infact the Varahi temple was first constructed then the construction of Periya Kovil was started.
