உ ருவாய் அருவாய் உளதாய் இலதாய் மருவாய் மலராய் மணியாய் ஒளியாய்க் கருவாய் உயிராய் கதியாய் விதியாய்க் குருவாய் வருவாய் அருள்வாய் குகனே Uruvaai Aruvaai Ulathaai Ilathaai Maruvaai Malaraai Maniyaai Oliyaai Karuvaai uyiraai gathiyaai vidhiyaai Guruvaai Varuvaai Arulvaai Guhane The last line of this sloka can be separated in 2 ways, Guruvaai Varuvaai Arulvaai Guhane - means come and bless me a s a Guru; and Guruvaai Varuvaaiarulvaai Guhane - meaning Be my Guru and bless me with wealth. Chanting this sloka in the second way 21 times daily will bring in necessary wealth in the right way.

Lyrics of the song Saraseeruha Sana Priye

My mom learnt Carnatic Music for some months from Shri. Palladam Venkataramana Rao when we were in Erode. He was a maestro in Harmonium. Loved the tunes it bought out when he taught along with it. One of the songs my mom learnt from him is a song on Lordess Saraswathi, which I leant it just by hearing. For a long time, I have been thinking that this song was composed by Shri. Thyagarajar later I leant that it was composed by Shri Puliyoor Shree Duraiswami Aiyyar. The song is set to tune in Naattai and is to be sung with Aadi Thaalam. I am sharing lyrics in English. Thayumanavar and Sloka for a safe delivery

The Story and Sloka This sannidhi is located enroute to Ucchi Pillayar Temple. The lord is Thayumanavar and ambal is Mattuvar Kuzhal Ammai. Once there was a lady who came to pray lord every day without fail from across Cauvery. This was right from her young age and it continued even after she got married and got pregnant. One day after her prayers when she was about to go back home, the rain came crashing down and cauvery was floodded, which made her stay back. But her labour pains started and she wanted her mother near by. Her mother who was on the other side of the bank, prayed lord to help her daughter. Lord Shiva came and helped the girl. The lord looked like the girl's mother, and thus he became thayum aanavan. That is lord who became mother too. This sloka is on praise of Thayumanava Swamy and it have to be chanted atleast 11 times a day, Monday is for Lord Sivan, so if possible it can be chanted more number of times on Monday.
