ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 - An intro

Cricket crazy country like India cant miss an event like the World Cup, even though it is going to be in the same time as the final exams. Still the cricket fever have started even now. The matches of the ICC World Cup 2011, starts on 19th Feb 2011. The event is hosted by the Indian Sub-Continent countries of India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and 49 matches are to be played all together. 


The closing ceremony of ICC World Cup 2011 will be held on 2nd April. The 14 teams are divided into two groups A and B. The teams in each group will play against each other and the top two teams from each group will compete in the semi-finals. 


The participating teams are:
Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England, West Indies, India, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands and New Zealands

Teams in Group A : Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada and Kenya.

Teams in Group B: India, South Africa, England, Bangladesh, West Indies, Netherlands and Ireland.
