Drishti kazhithal is one of the procedures done in many households. This can be done on Tuesdays, Thursdays and on Sundays. A piece of camphor can be lighted on a beetel leaf and keep it in a small plate with aarathi (water mixed with turmeric powder and kumkum powder). The person to whom it is taken (be it child or adult) should be asked to sit facing east. Take harathi 3 times clockwise in circuar motion and anti clock wise in circular motion then upwards and down wards. Everything should be done 3 times. One can chant this sloka 3 times.
