To recite at the dawn

Every morning after we wake up before keeping our feet on the earth, we can chant this sloka to take the blessings of Bhooma Devi. Bhooma Devi is the goddess who gives us patience (பொறுமை). 

சமுத்ர வாசனே தேவீ

பர்வத ஸ்தான மண்டிதே

விஷ்னு பத்னீ நமஸ்துப்யம்

பாத ஸ்பர்ஷம் ஷமாஸ்வமே

Samudra vasane devi
parvatha sthana mandithe
Vishnu pathni namasthubyam
paada sparsham kshamasvame
